Question 1

What is PrayerThread?

Accepted Answer

PrayerThread helps your church pray together across every campus. Prayer Partners either sign up for a time slot or pray whenever they can, and each person reads the prayers before them before adding their own, so one unbroken thread of prayer runs through the day.

Question 2

How do I set up my church?

Accepted Answer

Click "Start Your Church" to create an account and register your church. From there, you can add your campuses, customize your branding, and invite members. The whole process takes just a few minutes.

Question 3

What are campuses?

Accepted Answer

Campuses represent your church's physical locations or communities. Whatever your organization is, a single or multiple locations. Each member belongs to a campus, and PrayerThread tracks participation across all campuses so you can see the whole church praying together.

Question 4

How do prayer sessions work?

Accepted Answer

A church leader creates a prayer session by picking a date and time window. It can work two ways. A scheduled session is divided into 15, 30 or 60 minute slots, and members sign up for the ones that fit their day. An open session has no slots at all, so anyone can pray whenever they can. Either way, you open the prayer log, read what others have prayed, and add your own prayer to the thread. You can also reply to one particular prayer, if something somebody wrote is what you want to answer.

Question 5

Can members join from different locations?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Members can pray from anywhere: at home, at work, or at church. Everyone lands in the same thread, wherever they happen to be.

Question 6

How do I manage ministries and teams?

Accepted Answer

As an admin, you assign roles to your members. Coordinators can help you run sessions and campuses, and everyone else can sign up for prayer times. The admin dashboard is where you manage your team.

Question 7

What are Anytime Prayer Requests?

Accepted Answer

Anytime Prayer Requests let any member share a prayer need at any time, with no scheduled session needed. When you post a request, others in your church can see it, pray for you, and reply to you, and you can invite specific Prayer Partners to pray alongside you. It is a simple way for the church to gather round each other.

Question 8

What is the difference between a prayer session and an anytime prayer request?

Accepted Answer

A prayer session is something your church plans. A leader picks a date, and everyone prays into one thread through the day, either in the slot they signed up for or whenever they can. An Anytime Prayer Request is personal. Any member can share a need the moment they have one, and the church can pray for them straight away. Both are saved in your church's record.

Question 9

Can I reply to someone else's prayer?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and in both places. Open a prayer in a session thread or a request on the Anytime Prayer wall, and you can answer that person in your own words instead of only adding a prayer of your own. You can also respond without writing at all, by picking one of the reactions: praying for this, peace over this, standing with you, thank you, and a few more. If somebody replies to a prayer you wrote, your home screen tells you.

Question 10

Can I still reply to an old prayer?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Replying never closes, so a prayer from months ago can still be answered when you read back through your church's record. The prayer itself is fixed once its session ends, which is what keeps the record trustworthy, but the church can always answer it.

Question 11

What are Prayer Partners?

Accepted Answer

Prayer Partners are the people who carry the thread: anyone who prays during a session and adds what they prayed. Any church member can become one, and there is nothing to apply for. When your time comes you enter the Prayer Room, read the prayers before yours, and add your own. The more people who take part, the stronger the thread becomes.

Question 12

What happens to the prayers after a session?

Accepted Answer

Every prayer is saved in a permanent archive, so your church builds a living record of prayer over time, browsable by month, session, or campus. Years from now it is a testimony of how God has moved in your community.

Question 13

How do I invite my congregation?

Accepted Answer

Share your church's unique join link with your members. They can sign up with their Google account or email, pick their campus, and start claiming prayer slots right away.
